LORD BRAHMAJI
Lord Brahma

The sacred pilgrimage of Pushkar is famous in all the three worlds. It is the destroyer of all the sins and, the people who die at Pushkar attain Brahma Loka (Lord Brahma's world). A man who remembers Pushkar even in his mind, becomes liberated from all his sins, and has enjoyment along with "Indra" the king of the deities. Yaksha, Nagas, Kinnars, Gandharvas (all supernatural and celestial entities) along with the Siddhas (accomplishers) do worship of Lord Brahma. One who worship Lord Brahma becomes pure and after taking a bath in Jyestu Kund, realises him. Pushkar is equivalent to all the pilgrimages combined together. All the deities like 'Indra', Ganesh, Kartikeya, Sun, Moon, Shivadooti, and Kshetra Kshemankari Devi including Lord Vishnu dwell at Pushkar.

One who observes a fast in the forest of Jyeshtha at Pushkar, gets the benefit of Ashtang yoga (eight organs or divisions of yoga).

The virtues, which a man attains by taking a holy bath in all the other pilgrimages, is equivalent to just one dip in the 'Jyeshtha Kund' at Pushkar.

There are three mountain peaks, three lakes and three ponds i.e. Jyeshtha (bigger), Madhyam (medium) and Kanishtha (smallest) ponds at Pushkar.

There is another significant pilgrimage at Pushkar, it is known as Nanda-Saraswati. It is situated at approximately 8 miles west of Pushkar. Another pilgrimage by the name of 'Koti Teertha' is also situated there where according to Narad Puran one-crore sages had assembled.

The hermitage of sage Agastya is also situated at Pushkar. There are many other pilgrimages in and around Pushkar area like, the hermitage of the seven sages, the hermitages of different Manus of different Manvartars, 'Ganga Vinirgam', Vishnupad, Nag teerth, Pishach teerth and Shiva-dooti. All of them have great importance from the religious point of views.

Revered Sages had created many temples, hermitages and the five streams of River Saraswati in the forest of Pushkar. Among all of them Saraswati is very famous.

A person who remembers the name of Pushkar while taking his bath, even being hundreds of kilometers far away from Pushkar, gets the benefit. All the desires are fulfilled if a man makes a pilgrimage of Pushkar. The mere pronunciation of the word Pushkar gives the benefit equivalent to an actual bath. One who just listens to the efficacious of Pushkar, attains the same virtues as an actual bath and enjoys like the deities in the heaven.
